Charity Water Initiative

Charity WaterIn January, we announced that we have donated 100,000,000 gallons of clean water to people around the world. This goal could not have been accomplished without our customers. Whenever a Tier 1 product is purchased, part of the revenue is used to  help provide clean drinking water to those in need through an on-going project with Charity Water.

Our company ventured into the filter business with a dream to provide clean water to everyone in the world. We still reach for this dream and in order to make it happen, we need your help. We are excited to see the impact of the clean water we can provide to people around the world.

Currently, we fund several projects throughout Africa, but  we always looking for opportunities  to expand. These projects provide clean water for different communities through water systems built by Charity Water. Charity Water puts 100% of our donation towards building these water systems. The great thing about Charity Water is that we are able to watch the progress and impact clean water makes.

We need your help in order to continue supporting countries and villages in need. We will accept donations of any kind. Our products  do not just provide clean water for you, but when you buy Tier 1 filtration products, it will help gift clean water to  a village in need. Consider creating a healthy home for yourself and supporting the cause to bring clean water to communities around the world.

How do we do it? By producing our own filters that replace your personal home products. By buying a Tier 1 filter product you can save money and help increase the quality of life for a person in need.

Community : Water – For Women It’s Personal

Nearly one billion people lack access to clean water.

Yep, you read that right.

One billion people lack  clean water for drinking, for hygiene, for basic sanitation., founded by the ever adorable and all around nice guy Matt Damon, wants to do something about that. And so do we.  For all of us at Discount Filter Store, the issue of clean water is personal.

Clean water is our passion, but honestly we never thought about clean water as a women's issue until we started following on Twitter. (You can find them at @Water. You can follow @DiscountFilters here).

It turns out that for women all over the world, the issue of clean water is personal. Really personal. Check out this infographic:

Are you shocked? We are.

It's Mothers Day this Sunday, so lots of us are thinking about the women in our lives. (Have you bought a card yet? Skip the line at the store and honor your mom with one of these beautiful cards!)

Better yet, honor women everywhere by getting involved. Donate your voice, start a fundraiser, share this post, make a difference. Because it's not okay that 4000 mothers will lose a child to water-borne illnesses this Mothers Day.

Let's do something about it!
